Assassination in Rrilë, Lezha, three perpetrators arrested

The names of the three perpetrators of the attack in Rrilë, Lezha, yesterday evening (February 1), where it is suspected that the target was 21-year-old Merando Nikulaj, have been revealed.
Sources indicate that the authors are: Gerardo Ndoka, Eliseo Ndoka and Kevin Ndoka.
Merando Nikulaj and his cousin had a conflict with each other this summer, near the beach area where they also have a hotel.
The two sons of the Nikulajs crashed their motorcycle into the boys of the Ndoka tribe, where it is learned that they were physically confronted with baseball bats and other hard objects.
Merando Nikulaj has been taken to court regarding the fight he had with the boys of the Ndoka tribe.
The police announced today that in relation to the incident that occurred on 01.02.2026, at around 21:00, in the village of Rrilë, Shenkoll Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, where a citizen was injured by gunfire, the Special Investigation Group of the Lezha Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has intensively continued investigations with the aim of clarifying the incident, legal documentation, identification and arrest of the perpetrators.
Following the actions, the detention order issued by the Prosecutor was executed for citizen Besart Kovaçi, 24 years old, resident of the village of Dragushë, Dajç Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
From the entirety of the investigative and procedural actions, it has resulted that the suspects in this incident include citizens Gerardo Ndoka, Eliseo Ndoka, Kevin Ndoka... and Meandro Nikulaj, who have been declared wanted.
The special investigative group, under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, continues to work on the complete legal documentation of the event.
Due to the investigation, no further details are being provided.
Work continues to locate and capture the wanted persons.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Lezha, in charge of citizens GN, EN, KN and MN, suspected of the criminal offenses "Intentional murder, attempted" and "Unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition and explosives", as well as in charge of citizen BK, suspected of the criminal offense "Abuse of office".
