"We don't want a technical government"/ Agron Shehaj: How can I

The chairman of the Mundësia party, invited to the show "Të Paekspozuarit" on MCN TV, categorically denied a possible merger of this party with Sali Berisha's DP. He said that he left the DP precisely because of the major problems that this party has and nothing has improved.

Shehaj said he does not seek a technical government, while the Electoral Code does not depend on the opposition, since Rama has the votes.

The debate

Agron Shehaj : I have maintained my position. We must understand one thing, we brought out a different candidate and we rejected the candidate's proposal to represent opposition voters and not political parties, to go beyond political parties and we nominated Ermal. We have left the DP, for several reasons that Ermal knows and they remain. These issues that have separated us from the DP, continue to be there, there is no change.

Bringing a candidate outside the parties was the way to have a credible alternative, to give Tirana a chance. This was our goal. I don't understand why this proposal came from Ermali?

50,000 citizens in Albania voted for us after we told them that Berisha had a chance to govern Albania and we don't have to give him any other reason.

And they voted for us. We have nothing in common with the old parties, but we are ardent opponents on the main issue, justice, on which the future of Albania depends. What are we discussing? Free and fair elections? Yes, we were united before us for this. Technical government? No thanks, we don't want it. Electoral Code? In 35 years, the two big parties have come together and made an electoral code against small parties. Why unite for free elections when they don't depend on us? How can a government be formed, where there is a vote in Parliament, where Rama has 86 mandates? How will the electoral code be made, when Edi Rama has 86 mandates? This union makes no sense.

Ermal Hasimja: It is not about unity, but about sitting at the table. Mr. Shehaj says we do not sit at the table, for the problems he said, we do not sit with Sali Berisha, and with the DP, the party he himself came from. Anyway, that is Mr. Shehaj's position. These objectives that I said, are not also the objectives of Mundësia and Lëvizja Bashkë? It seems to me that they are.
Even the issue of free elections, and the support of constitutional justice. When we talk about the table, politics, which I have also studied, politics is essentially discussion, debate, compromise. Politics is negotiation.

Both Shehaj and Qori say we don't discuss with these people, but they sit  in committees with the Socialist Party every day. They voted for the Peace Board.
