"Salmonella Typhimurium"/ This is the deadly bacteria that was found

New details have come to light from the scandal that was published this Friday in the media, where a quantity of 27 tons of chicken fillet imported from Brazil, with the presence of salmonella bacteria, was introduced into the Albanian market by the company "Dimal Inc."

It is reported that the chicken was infected with the bacteria known as “Salmonella Typhimurium”. According to WHO data, “Typhi” is a major enteric pathogen that infects both humans and animals. Infection begins with the ingestion of contaminated food so that salmonella reaches the intestinal epithelium and causes gastrointestinal disease.

Symptoms include a prolonged high fever, fatigue, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and constipation or diarrhea. Some patients may have a rash or itching and fever. According to 2019 estimates, there are 9 million cases of typhoid fever each year, resulting in about 110,000 deaths per year.

So, in this case, the lives of Albanian consumers have been seriously endangered, while the AKU, the Ministry of Health, and all relevant authorities do not bear responsibility and have not revealed how much of the 27 tons that were brought into the country were consumed by citizens./ Piranjat
