SPAK asked for prison for concealing assets, the former head of the Constitutional Court speaks at the hearing

The former head of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja, defended himself against accusations of concealment of assets, in the session held against him at the GJKKO this Wednesday.
Dedja in his speech stated that the apartment in Golem with a space of 60m2 and a garage is in the name of his brother and he must answer for the income from which those assets were placed.
"How much do you owe a loan of 10,000 euros from your brother-in-law? He worked in emigration, and they did not declare the income from emigration in the 2000s. For the 146 m2 apartment in Tirana, I received a loan until 2033", said Dedja.
The former head of the Constitutional Court accused the Special Prosecutor's Office of raising unsupported charges.
"The accusation is not the conception. The judge of the preliminary hearing did not rule that the evidence was insufficient. The preliminary hearing does not replace the judgment on the merits", said Dedja.
GJKKO decided to postpone to June 15, the hearing of the defense of the decision to prepare the conclusions. The defense requested that all records of the court proceedings be made available to him.
We remind you that Bashkim Dedja is accused of concealment and non-declaration of assets, while SPAK requested 1 year of imprisonment, which is converted due to the shortened trial to 2 years of probation. After leaving the session, Dedja did not prefer to comment, saying that he will answer at a later time.
