SPAK on the ground, offices are being 'established' in the 12 regions! In these elections, increased attention is paid to the investigation of electoral crimes

SPAK has landed on the ground. As foreseen in the strategy of the Special Prosecution for Electoral Crimes, the 16 offices in the country's districts are now ready. According to the order of the director Altin Dumani, the prosecutors together with the investigators have been in contact with the district prosecutors since Friday, where it is learned that the latter have also made available the office where they will stay to coordinate the investigations.
According to the cooperation agreement made with the general prosecutor's office and the CEC, for the prevention of electoral crimes, special prosecutors, who will be accompanied by agents, will analyze the referred reports.
In parallel, the referrals reflected on the SPAK platform, which has been active since March, are also being verified. Sources indicate that complaints are addressed from citizens every day, where in most cases it is difficult to identify due to anonymity.
The "Task Force" will have a period of operation that will continue for 3 months, until the end of May. At the head of this Task Force is Chief Prosecutor Altin Dumani.
The SPAK task force will consist of a central structure and investigative groups distributed in the field during the election period, which will include prosecutors, BKH investigators, financial investigators, administrative support staff in all 12 regions and 61 municipalities. In Tirana, the central structure will be headed by Altin Dumani himself. SPAK says that the main focus of the investigative groups will be on preventing and investigating the use of public administration, state infrastructure, and the involvement of criminal groups in the electoral process. A special group with financial investigators and other experts in the field will monitor the use of the budget and public investments that are not allowed to be carried out during the election period by special entities.
