Alarm after plane changes course, Vulin turns back halfway to Russia! Former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia suspected of avoiding controls

The "Air Serbia" plane that departed yesterday afternoon from Belgrade to Moscow was forced to return to Belgrade airport after it was determined that Aleksandar Vulin, leader of the Socialist Movement in Serbia, had boarded the plane without passing security checks.
According to unofficial information from the "Nova.rs" portal , Vulin managed to board the plane without undergoing security procedures, and it is suspected that someone helped him.
The order to turn the plane back was given by the director of corporate security at Belgrade Airport, Milan Kuç, after he noticed on security cameras that procedures had not been respected.
The plane had departed at 18:48 for Moscow, but turned back towards Belgrade after arriving in southern Lithuania. Air Serbia said the decision came after a notification from airport authorities that additional security checks were required for one of the passengers.
Serbian media identified the passenger as Aleksandar Vulin, chairman of the supervisory board of the state-owned gas company Srbijagas. Srbijagas CEO Dusan Bajatovic and politician Nenad Popovic were also reportedly on board.
Upon arrival in Belgrade, all passengers and their luggage were subjected to additional checks under police supervision. Speaking to Serbian television station Informer, Vulin denied the allegations, describing the incident as a politically motivated attempt to attack him.
He insisted that he had completed all required security checks and was not carrying any prohibited items. The former deputy prime minister of Serbia and a close ally of former president Aleksandar Vučić, said he was traveling to Moscow on official business to discuss the extension of a gas deal between Serbia and Russia.
The plane then resumed its journey and landed in Moscow early Wednesday. Aleksandar Vulin, a prominent pro-Russian politician, served as Serbia's interior minister, defense minister, director of the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) and deputy prime minister during Vučić's presidency.
The United States imposed sanctions on him in 2023.
The incident comes amid political upheaval in Serbia following the October 25 snap parliamentary elections, in which the student-backed electoral list won 52.71% of the vote, securing 140 seats in the 250-member parliament.
