The incident that occurred in the village of Godvi, Bulqizë, is being clarified, where it was initially reported that citizen Urim Fiku, 53 years old, had lost his life after being attacked by a wild animal.
His wife Sadete Fiku and his son Gazmir Fiku are arrested, suspected of murdering him with firearms and sharp cutting tools.
On 04.11.2026, the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at the Dibër Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, after an intensive investigation, it became possible to document the event that occurred on 03.11.2026, in the village of Godvi, Bulqizë.
Initially, the family of citizen UF reported that he had lost his life as a result of an attack by a wild animal (bear), but the investigations conducted and forensic examinations revealed that this citizen had been killed with a firearm.
Following investigative actions, the following citizens were detained:
* SF, 57 years old;
* GF, 33 years old;
both residents of the village of Godvi (respectively the wife and son of citizen UF).
Their detention was carried out after it is suspected that, in collaboration with each other, they killed citizen UF with firearms and sharp cutting tools.
A pistol firearm, model 54, with cartridges, as well as a pistol cartridge, found in the yard of the apartment, were seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were referred to the Dibër Prosecution Office for the criminal offenses of "Murder due to family relations" and "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition", committed in collaboration.
