Massive attacks in Crimea, four killed and 28 injured by Ukrainian drones

Ukrainian drone strikes on the Crimean Peninsula have killed at least four people and wounded 28, according to Russian-installed authorities in the annexed territory. The attacks are part of an intensified Ukrainian campaign against Russian strategic targets in Crimea and surrounding areas.

Crimea's Moscow-installed governor, Sergei Aksyonov, said the attacks had damaged infrastructure and created serious problems with fuel supplies. As an emergency measure, gas stations across the peninsula have suspended sales to citizens and businesses, with reserves made available only to security and emergency services.

Another Ukrainian attack hit the Russian region of Krasnodar. Local authorities reported that a drone hit an oil transportation facility, causing a fire on a ferry and killing at least one person on board. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operation, calling it part of an effort to hit Russia's logistical and military capabilities.

The Russian Defense Ministry said it had shot down 239 Ukrainian drones in various regions overnight. However, the attacks caused power outages in some areas of Crimea and damage to supply networks.

Ferry traffic on the Kerch Strait, which connects Crimea with the Krasnodar region, has also been temporarily suspended. Russian authorities also stopped traffic on the Crimean Bridge for more than nine hours, causing delays for at least 11 trains.

Crimea remains one of Ukraine's main targets due to its strategic importance and the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The recent attacks have increased pressure on Russia's supply lines and created difficulties in supplying fuel and energy to the peninsula.
