Prime Minister Edi Rama holds discussions with Macron, expected to meet tomorrow in Paris, agenda revealed

Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron tomorrow.
Rama will travel to Paris, where he is expected to arrive at 1:00 PM at the Elysee Palace, where they will hold discussions.

According to the French government announcement, they are expected to discuss Albania's integration into the EU as well as French investments in Albania.

"The President of the Republic will receive the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Élysée Palace. This meeting follows exchanges between the two leaders, who met notably in Paris in April 2024, as well as in Tirana in October 2023 and in May 2025.

The President of the Republic and Prime Minister Edi Rama will discuss Albania's European perspective and the reforms undertaken in this context. The Head of State will reaffirm France's continued support for the continuation of Albania's accession process to the European Union, in respect of the requirements and principles on which it is based.

The two leaders will also discuss the development of cooperation in the fields of education, economy and energy, as well as the prospects offered by French investments in Albania. They will take stock of several projects, including the future French lyceum in Korça, initiatives supported by the AFD group in the fields of energy and the environment, as well as opportunities for cooperation in the transport, infrastructure and defense sectors.
