Historic US-Iran meeting yields first results, Vance: We have made great progress in a few hours

JD Vance stated that "major progress" has been achieved in talks between the United States and Iran taking place in Switzerland.

Speaking to the media, Vance described the meeting as historic, emphasizing that American and Iranian leaders have never met before at such a high level, with the exception of contacts in recent months.

" We have already made great progress in the last few hours. This is a historic meeting ," he said.

According to the US vice president, the US delegation is in Switzerland with the aim of promoting diplomacy and cooperation in the region, paving the way for a more stable period in the Middle East. “ We see a future where everyone can work together to promote peace and prosperity for all ,” Vance declared.

Talks between the US and Iran are taking place with the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan, while attention is focused on regional security, economic issues and reducing tensions in the Middle East.
