Incident in Scotland, three Belgian soldiers injured by gunfire during training, one of them in serious condition

An incident occurred during a training exercise in Scotland, in which three Belgian soldiers were injured.

One of them will undergo surgery in Scotland, while the other two soldiers, who are in stable health, will return to Belgium.

A number of other soldiers also suffered hearing impairment.

A defense ministry spokesman said that "On May 12, during the Red Condor exercise that took place in Scotland, three Belgian soldiers were injured.

"They received first aid on the spot and were then transferred to a regional hospital. In addition, several other soldiers suffered hearing damage."

Around 600 Belgian military personnel were in Moray for the Red Condor exercise.
