President Trump is not stopping: After Iran, it's Cuba's turn

The President of the United States said that Cuba is experiencing a deep economic crisis and that political changes on the island are possible in the near future.

Donald Trump told Politico that the US administration has increased pressure on Cuba, including tightening sanctions and restrictions on energy supplies.

The key factor, according to him, has been the economic crisis, exacerbated by the ban on oil supplies from Venezuela, causing serious fuel and energy problems in the country.

He also stressed that "the hostile regime in Cuba will not last long."

"Cuba will also fall. We stopped all the oil, all the money, or, in other words, we stopped all the supplies coming from Venezuela, which was the only source. And they want to negotiate," he said.

The American leader also confirmed that the United States is in contact with Cuba's communist leadership, as instability on the island intensifies following the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro.
