Italian President Sergio Mattarella was admitted to a hospital in Rome this evening (April 15) where he underwent surgery to implant a pacemaker. A planned intervention that is not causing any concern, Italian media report.
The news was announced by the Presidential Palace, which explained that today the head of state also received his Montenegrin counterpart.
