He broke into a house in Italy to rob it, the Albanian was raped by the residents, the police seized the euros and the stolen items

A 40-year-old Albanian man was injured during a scuffle with residents after an attempted robbery in Arnad, in northwestern Italy, on December 5.

He was allegedly attacked with a sharp object, suspected to be a pickaxe, suffering a fractured pelvis and wounds to his lower abdomen.

The Carabinieri immediately arrested him and seized the stolen goods: 500 euros in cash, jewelry and a bag worth a total of around 5,000 euros. One of his accomplices managed to escape into the surrounding forest area. Investigators discovered that the thieves had forced open a screen door to enter the apartment, while there had been another attempted robbery in the city earlier.

The detainee is currently at Parini Hospital and will remain there until his condition allows for transfer to detention.

Investigations by the Carabinieri of Châtillon/Saint-Vincent continue to identify the people who attacked the thieves.
