Hail damage in Fier, storm destroys crops in 20 minutes

The heavy hailstorms that fell yesterday afternoon in the Frakulla area have caused major damage to agriculture.
Within just 20 minutes, dozens of hectares of crops were destroyed. According to preliminary verifications, about 60 hectares of fruit trees and olive groves were damaged.
In the village of Kafaraj, the hail lasted about 30 minutes, and according to residents, such a storm has never been seen. One of the affected farmers says that the damage is considerable, as the olives are in the stage of berry setting, while the fruit trees are in bloom.
A farmer, who cultivates strawberries and has over 2 hectares of production, says this is the greatest damage he has ever suffered.
Faced with these conditions, the farmers of Frakulla are demanding the establishment of a commission to verify the damaged plots and their compensation from the government.
