“You, we won in 2021. I say it with the most absolute conviction. But he (Rama) stole the elections.”

His "speech" was built on this premise. In fact, the great division of the DP was justified on this narrative.
And now, after so many years, Berisha's political subconscious comes to the surface and says the opposite: the elections were won, but they were stolen by Rama.
So, they were not sold, they were not betrayed by Basha, but they were stolen by the government.
At this point, age takes its toll, but selective memory mixes accusations, enemies and justifications. Political dementia (more dangerous than biological dementia) appears when a leader forgets what he said yesterday and what he raised as a cause today.
