"This is not an easy task", Marjana Koçeku warns of the Shkodra uprising: Protests for the Serbian consulate begin tomorrow
MP Marjana Koçeku warns that protests will begin tomorrow in the northern capital against the talks on opening a Serbian consulate in Shkodra. This news was reported in the media after a statement by the Serbian minister and only then was our Foreign Ministry forced to react.
"To date, there have only been vague explanations from Albanian institutions on this issue, an attempt to not clarify anything," she writes.
Marjana Koçeku links the talks about the Serbian consulate in Shkodra to the discovery of a mass grave in Zubin Potok in recent days, where the search has begun for the bodies of victims of the Kosovo war.
"Two days ago, excavations began in Zubin Potok to find the bodies of victims of the Kosovo war. It is suspected of being a mass grave with 23 intellectuals killed by Serbian forces, while so far the bodies of 6 of them have been found."
Yesterday, during the raids, weapons were also found, and a person who had been a member of the Yugoslav Army was arrested. While all this is happening, the Albanian state is talking about opening a Serbian consulate in Shkodra. But what consulate did you get?!", she writes.
The now independent MP emphasizes that in Tirana they talk about diplomatic principles, bilateral relations, economic benefits, but they forget the most important thing, the reality of a massacred people.
"On Sunday, protests are expected to begin in Shkodra against the opening of the Serbian consulate. This is not an easy task. While the Albanian state talks about a consulate and good neighborliness with Serbia, mass graves of murdered bodies continue to be found in Kosovo, even after 25 years," the reaction concludes.
