This is stated by the mayor of Fushë-Arrëz, Hil Curri, who says that no consultation has been carried out with the community regarding this initiative, which according to him will further depopulate the northern city.
According to Curri, the Municipality of Fushë-Arrëz is not a budgetary burden for the state, as several businesses in heavy industry operate in this area, whose taxes are paid into the coffers of the institution it runs.
The democratic mayor warns that they will pursue this issue to international instances, while the citizens of Fushë-Arrëz, together with the diaspora, will mobilize in protests.
