UN Security Council reviews 6-month report on UNMIK's work/ Serbia complains about recent arrests in Kosovo

The United Nations Security Council has begun discussing the six-monthly report of the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, on the work of UNMIK for the period from September last year to March this year.
Serbia is represented in it by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric.
On the eve of the session, Djuric told Tanjug that Serbia's participation in the session is not just a routine and diplomatic act, but that Serbia wants to hear the voice of truth, freedom and justice for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, who are currently going through some of the most difficult days in their original country.
He also added that in recent weeks there have been attempts to close that session to the public, namely that due to global geopolitical trends, someone wanted that topic not to be heard in public.
The report is presented on behalf of Guterres by the head of UNMIK and the special representative of the United Nations Secretary-General, Caroline Ziade.
