Vote recount in Kosovo concludes

The Central Election Commission has announced that the Counting and Results Center has completed the recounting process of ballots from 2,557 polling stations, in which the voting process took place on December 28, 2025.
According to the first decision of the CEC, on January 13, 2026, in 10 municipalities it was planned to recount 100% of the polling stations (Dragash, Kaçanik, Lespoaviq, Prizren, Skenderaj, Shtime, Ferizaj, Vushtrri, Mamusha and Ranillug), while in the other 28 municipalities, only 10% of the polling stations (Deçan, Gjakova, Gllogoc, Gjilan, Istog, Klina, Fushë Kosovë, Kamenica, South Mitrovica, Lipjan, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Podujevo, Prishtina, Shtërpcë, Suhareka, Viti, Zubin Potok, Zvecan, Malisheva, Junik, Hani i Elezit, Graçanica, Partesh, Kllokot and North Mitrovica), reports Klankosova.tv.
After the second decision of the CEC, on January 19, 2026, other polling stations in these municipalities were also included in the recount process.
The CEC took these recount decisions in order to guarantee the accuracy of the election results and to ensure that the will of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo is accurately recorded and reflected, as expressed by them on the ballots.
