Student List wins elections in Serbia, first reactions from internationals

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, congratulated the Student List on its victory in the elections in Serbia and the citizens of the country for their expressed democratic will.
"I am convinced that this election result will open a new chapter in relations between Montenegro and Serbia, based on friendship, sincere dialogue and commitment to our common European future," he wrote in X.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said that the elections in Serbia are a reminder that the will of citizens and the right to freely decide on their future are the foundation of any democratic change.
Congratulating the representatives of the Student List, he expressed his belief that relations between the two countries will be based on respect and open dialogue, without unnecessary escalation of tensions.
"The citizens of both states deserve relations that are measured by concrete results of cooperation and not by the depth of diplomatic disagreements," Spajic wrote.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's Ambassador to the UN, Zlatko Llagumdzhija, congratulated the students and citizens of Serbia, calling the Student List's victory "a great day for a prosperous future for Serbia and the region."
"Congratulations to the students and the people of Serbia. The legacy of Zoran Djindjic lives on. I hope that we will walk together and seize the opportunity for a new beginning on our common path towards a Euro-Atlantic future," said Lagumdzhija.
Hungary's Prime Minister, Peter Magyar, who took office after his party, Tisza, defeated Viktor Orban in the April elections, also reacted.
"In Serbia, Vučić has admitted defeat. The Student List has won an absolute majority in the elections. Celebrations have begun in the streets across Serbia," Magjar wrote in X.
"Does it look familiar to you?" he added./ REL
