"Over 200 Instagram profiles have been closed", Koçek points the finger at the government: Those who support the protest are being attacked, including Agron Shehaj

MP Marjana Koçeku, who has been serving as an independent for months, has publicly denounced an attack that she says has recently been occurring on the personal accounts of people who have come out in defense of the so-called "Flamingo Revolution" protest.

Through a post on Facebook, Koçeku says that an online attack has begun since yesterday against several opposition figures with political and public influence. According to her, 300 Instagram pages with content from the protests have been closed, while among these suspended profiles is that of the "Mundësia Party" MP, Agron Shehaj.

"Our government defends this right with fanaticism in international forums, but attempts at all costs and by any means to destroy it in its own home," the MP writes, among other things, pointing the finger at this attack by the government and noting that this issue has been addressed to the relevant institutions in the European Union.

A wave of online attacks has begun, especially since yesterday, against several opposition figures with political and public influence. Over 200 Instagram pages with content from the protests have been closed, including the official page of MP Agron Shehaj, activist Gent Progni, and known Instagram pages that have consistently supported the protest.

These days at the Bled Forum, online security and cyber attacks on freedom of expression were the topic of discussion of the European Commissioners. Our government defends this right with fanaticism in International Forums, but tries by all means and at all costs to destroy it in its own home. I have already reported this to the European Union institutions.
