Two officials were suspended from duty in Tirana after helping a 41-year-old man change his identity with false documents.
As part of the operation, the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service", ordered by the Court, was executed for the following citizens:
OO, 44 years old, resident of Tirana, working as an employee of an administrative unit in Tirana;
AK, 30 years old, resident of Tirana, working as an IT specialist at the General Directorate of Civil Status.
Also, work is underway to capture citizen DI alias IK alias IA, 41 years old, resident of Tirana, who was declared wanted as part of the operation, after the Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Forgery of documents".
The investigations suspect that citizen DI applied for a name change with a forged identification document, while citizen OO and citizen AK are suspected of having completed the procedures following this application without conducting the relevant verifications on the submitted documentation.
