The Special Appeal has rejected the request of Ilir Meta, who had opposed the first instance decision to suspend his pre-trial detention. The news was confirmed to BalkanWeb by journalist Klodiana Lala.
The trial panel has upheld the decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo (GJKKO) to suspend the detention terms of the former president and leader of the Freedom Party.
Meta had challenged the decision in the Special Appeal, requesting its annulment. With today's decision, his request has been rejected.
