Battle for Vlora Airport, Behgjet Pacolli: I regret that the damage will fall on the pockets of Albanians, not those who caused it

Albanian businessman from Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, has made another clarifying reaction to the situation at Vlora Airport, revealing for the first time what he calls a "deliberate plan" for the alienation of ownership.

"The issue of Vlora Airport, against my wishes, is passing into the hands of international justice. Now it is becoming clear that the problem was not and is not the disagreement between the two partners, but a deliberate plan aimed at EXTENSION of this concession, which is now being realized," he writes.

The businessman explains that for more than a year he has been seeking dialogue, solutions, and justice, but requests to identify the perpetrators and prevent the situation from worsening have been left in silence without any legal reason.

"We are ready to submit every document and every action to the review of the competent institutions. They should not be considered as accusations on our part, but only as a realistic presentation of the facts. We have made every effort to avoid arbitration," he continues.

Pacolli emphasizes that his request and will remain the same: to complete the Vlora Airport and put it at the service of the citizens! According to him, this is what he has invested, worked for, and for this he will continue to seek justice.

"It pains me to think that a possible compensation for the damages, which are huge, would burden the public budget and, ultimately, the Albanian citizens, and unfortunately not the people who caused this situation and are now benefiting from it.

"After a lifetime of working in many countries, it particularly pains me that this very work, in my country, with my government and to the detriment of my citizens, is facing what I consider a grave injustice," concludes Behgjet Pacolli.
