Rama's hypocrisy in shouting: Take it!

Tirana was engulfed in anger over the sentencing of former KLA leaders. Politics rushed to make statuses. The Prime Minister wrote "Take it!". The opposition rushed to blame Rama.

...The only truth in all this anger is that of the citizens, who were waiting for the return to Pristina of the former KLA leaders. Meanwhile, politics, even three days after the decision, seems to be on the bed of hypocrisy, believing that a statement in the Assembly is enough.

Official Tirana, not today, but since 1999, has done almost nothing to build a Museum of Evidence for Serbian crimes in Kosovo in any major world metropolis. Since 1999, Tirana and Pristina have not sat down together for a clear platform on how the past should be at every table where Serbs would be, so that no Vučić or Dačić would have the courage to equate Serbian aggression with the victims and the raped in Kosovo.

Unfortunately, Tirana, both during the time of Berisha and Rama, saw Pristina as an arena of power for itself, clearly ignoring what began as a fantasy with the Dick Marty Report, with Del Ponte's positions, or with the Serbian fury around the world to block recognition of Kosovo's Independence.

Unfortunately, we have had Berisha-Rugova disagreements, Berisha-Thaci clashes, we have had Rama send Haradinaj to court, we have had Rama mocking Kurti while hugging Vučić.

In short, "Take it!" is for Rama and Berisha themselves and many others who saw Kosovo as an annex, and not as a continuation of the same body, the same nation. The political war defeated the obligation that the Albanian state has for Kosovo and, precisely this battle for power, Vučić quietly exploited, who on one side congratulated Rama as a "great leader", and on the other side belittled Pristina in the eyes of the world.

Tirana's politics never managed to unite and seek the best opinion of academics, historians, and find the most important studios in the world to defend the truth that we all know.

But Tirana still continues with egos about who has the right in the Assembly. Kosovo is still seen as a Rama-Berisha battle, while there is no effort for all parties, Pristina-Tirana, to come together to read the new reality and seek solutions.

Any delay favors Belgrade, which is celebrating this decision with the same force as it honored the master criminal Mladic who exterminated the men and boys of Srebrenica.

Belgrade's lack of remorse for the crimes and the alliances that Serbs seek to protect the crimes should open our eyes and make us understand as soon as possible that the future of Kosovo is more important than any political ego in Tirana.

It is time for Albanian diplomacy to understand that battles are not fought with nephews of MPs, cousins ​​of ministers or patrons, but with academics and professionals. /Alfapress.al
