Basha meets with Tirana families in Branch 8: We will return dignity to the

The political leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with families from Tirana at branch number 8 in Tirana. Part of the conversation was the concerns of pensioners who are not able to get medicine or to guarantee their dignity.

Basha spoke about the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's program for this category, where he said that based on the opportunities offered by the Albanian economy, the minimum pension will be 250 euros, the average 450 euros within the first two years of government. According to him, all pensioners with incomes below 300 euros will benefit from a fixed monthly compensation for medicines and electricity, while the new reform of the pension system will guarantee a sustainable long-term plan for future generations.

He further said that seniors on May 11th must understand that their vote will determine whether the money will go either to their pensions or to their friends at 7x7=313.

"We have a program, a team, we have it all, it's very simple, either lek for Albanian pensioners, or lek for our friends, to 7x7=313. This is the election on May 11. So you want lek for pensioners, number 4, the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, with a program, with a plan, so that the Albanian pensioner at least has enough to guarantee his dignity. Because with these pensions, the average Albanian pension currently goes entirely to medicines.
With the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's program, the minimum pension will be 250 euros within the first two years of our government. This will be done with a progressive indexation that guarantees the purchasing power of pensioners.
The average pension will reach 450 euros within the first mandate, increasing support for pensioners according to their contributions and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Monthly allowances for medicines and energy - all pensioners with incomes below 300 euros will benefit from a fixed monthly compensation to cover the basic costs of health and electricity.
A new pension system reform that guarantees greater support for those with lower pensions and a sustainable long-term plan for future generations.
This is not just a promise, but a feasible plan, based on international experience and Albania's real possibilities. Pensioners deserve more, and we will make it a reality" - said Basha.
