Former Democratic MP, Ervin Salianji, who was excluded from the race for mayor in the elections that the Democratic Party is holding today, has reacted again by pointing out the low number of participation of the Democratic base and membership in this "farcical process" as he calls it.
In a post on the social network, the former lawmaker, who is politically labeled as "self-excluded" from the blue seat, underlines that this was a "total abandonment of the farce to usurp the DP."
"Total abandonment of the farce to usurp the DPA! The Democrats despised and humiliated the provocation for a possible election; participation in the district center branches until the end at 6:00 PM," says Salkianji.
He further provides the turnout figures in the districts and concludes by emphasizing that:
"Now the theater of postponing the schedule was excessive, millions of Albanians vote and it is not postponed, how can it be postponed to the large branches that in total have not even 20,000 voters according to the usurper but in the meantime not even 4,000 have voted in total!"
In today's elections, the membership voted for the only candidate, President Sali Berisha, who called the process a referendum.
He says that the turnout was low and shares the voting figures across the DP branches in Albania:
