''I will ask for his resignation in the forums too...''/ Former candidate for DP MP: Berisha should leave! The article clearly says, whoever loses should leave.

Former Democratic Party candidate on the open list in Shkodra, Tedi Kopliku, spoke about the May 11 elections and the recent developments within the DP after the election results, describing the issue of Sali Berisha's resignation as secondary in the face of the challenges facing the country.
Kopliku told Report TV that the DP should focus on verifying the elections and not on the name of the mayor, even though he said that the article is clear that 'whoever loses the elections' resigns.
"Suppose we immediately stop all political activity and go to the Democratic Party forums and call for 'elections' for the chairman of the DP. This is a lack of political responsibility that the Democratic Party has shown in 30 years that it has not dealt with the smallest problem that Albanians have, with the chairman of the DP. For me, Berisha's resignation is peripheral. We must prove what we say. In France, it is the Ministry of the Interior that proves whether the elections are free, but it should be the Prosecutor's Office," said Kopliku.
Kopliku said that the resignation of Albanians is not Berisha's problem.
"We assume that we enter the elections without Berisha. We will deal with our own internal issues, but it is not the Albanians' problem," said Kopliku.
On the other hand, Kopliku underlines that the statute is clear and that he will ask for this in the DP forums.
"A mayor who loses the elections must resign. The article says so. It's quite simple, the article says so. This will also be said in the forums and I will say it," said Kopliku.
