Analyst Plator Nesturi, invited to the "Off the Record" studio by Andrea Danglli, on A2CNN, said that he was impressed by the fact that the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, did not react to the election of the new head of SPAK.
"The support of internationals was needed not because SPAK has not matured in these years. But, throughout all these years, this institution is no longer what the prosecution once was and these are no longer prosecutors as they were in those institutions, and let's not forget the training that the United States of America has provided to train them not only professionally, but also to cope with pressure and to get to the bottom of problems."
"We still do not have a kind of coexistence between politics and the new justice institutions, so this support is needed. Do not forget the fact that there have been attempts and efforts to change certain laws to reduce the specific weight of SPAK and this support is precisely to remind this political class that what has been built will not be reversed," said Nesturi.
"Don't forget that everything that SPAK has touched has first hit Albanian politics and in this context, it will undoubtedly have an impact on further political developments. What impressed me was the fact that Mr. Berisha, the leader of the opposition, still does not have a position on the election of the new head of SPAK. The problem is that Berisha must clarify whether, for him, this will be Klodian Troplini or Klodian Braho. Because he went through the structured criminal group, he was told that there are bad prosecutors, but there are good prosecutors.
"This Mr. Braho is among the good prosecutors for Mr. Berisha or among the bad ones. He should say now that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow depends on the developments that SPAK may have inside and not change their positions as they can change with the Ombudsman, who once sign and then change their mind," Nesturi added.
