Analyst and sociologist Ergys Mërtiri, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, welcomed the election of the new head of SPAK today by the KLP as a victory that produced two big losers: Edi Rama who wanted to capture SPAK to make it a tool of the government, and Sali Berisha who describes it as a criminal organization.
"I have to say one thing, it's that it's forgotten to discuss with anyone who won and who lost today. For me, there are two big losers and this is the most positive thing that has happened to Albanians today.
The first loser is called Edi Rama who clearly failed completely today, today Edi Rama was not there. He only made a courtesy message at the end. So, Rama appeared to be a failure today. Rama had no chance to intervene today, and this is, let's say, the greatest success.
The second, the second failure is Sali Berisha, who today clearly has no influence whatsoever and today he lost the only thing, his alibi, that SPAK is a criminal organization.
If we accept this, then we will say that all those ambassadors who were there are part of a criminal organization and are electing the head of a criminal organization.
So, Berisha today doesn't know where to put his head from the slap in the face he has received today, from the way SPAK is being organized.
The fact that SPAK is proving that it is no longer Rama's, nor captured by crime, you are accusing it of being captured by internationals. If we call internationals a criminal organization, okay, continue now.
Why were the ambassadors there? Let's remember one thing: this election was not made today, it was predetermined, because the race started long ago.
The evaluations, qualifications, and disqualifications of several candidates have been made, and four remain.
On the other hand, I think the race started even before that.
It started at the moment when Rama and Berisha savagely attacked SPAK with all means.
"Berisha considering it a criminal organization, Rama setting up a commission against SPAK, with Xhafa at the head, verbally attacking it and considering it as an institution that is still a baby and needs to be supported and taken care of by the government, and even attacking SPAK for interfering with the government's powers, considering it as an organization that is staging a coup against the government," said Mërtiri.
