Investigation of electoral crimes by SPAK/Kume: Obliged by the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania

Former CEC Chairman Kristaq Kume, in an interview with Ora News, stated that the investigation of electoral crimes by SPAK is required by the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania.

Kume: It's not something that hasn't happened in previous electoral processes.

The General Prosecutor's Office, in compliance with the requirements of the law, what the law, the criminal code, and the Electoral Code require, has been engaged in monitoring the problems and events that have accompanied the electoral processes in previous elections.

We now have a remarkable, that is, much more effective, commitment from a part of the judicial body, which is the Special Prosecution Office or SPAK.

And this is what the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania obliges us to commit to pursuing, identifying and uncovering those who violate the law, violations that affect electoral processes.
