Hungary will train Albanian officials for EU integration: Pirdeni signed the

The Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption, Adea Pirdeni, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, signed today in Budapest the Action Plan for the training of the employees of Albanian institutions in the process of joining the European Union .

Hungary, with its successful experience as a member of the EU since 2004, will assist Albania through dedicated training programs and the exchange of best practices.
Within the framework of the agreement, the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy will organize seminars for Albanian public servants, focusing on preparing for the challenges and achieving the standards required by the negotiation process with the EU.

During the signing ceremony, Minister Pirdeni assessed the Action Plan as an important step for strengthening the Albanian public administration and preparing it for EU integration. "Taking advantage of Hungary's past experience, we aim to create a more efficient and prepared administration to fulfill the homework of this historic process," she declared.

On the other hand, Minister Szijjártó reconfirmed Hungary's support for the great potential of Albania and the Western Balkans as future members of the EU.

This signing marks another cornerstone in the friendship and cooperation between Albania and Hungary and is expected to strengthen the institutional ties between the two countries in Albania's efforts to become part of the European family.

Today's agreement is one of two agreements that will be signed during the 2-day official visit of Minister Pirdeni to Budapest.

This visit is held in the last weeks of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which, after opening the negotiations for Chapter I of the Fundamental Group in October, just a few days ago announced the green light for the opening of negotiations for Group Chapter VI, which has in focus Foreign Relations.
