"Documents and invoices have been seized these days", Lala sheds light

Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed further information on the investigations being conducted by SPAK against former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, emphasizing that the process of dismantling mobile phones and other electronic devices is underway.

"Certainly, the phones are being dismantled. The investigation is extensive and voluminous," Lala said, describing an investigation involving at least 20 construction companies with a history of over 20 years, which have been placed under full monitoring by prosecutors.

She added that in addition to cell phones, invoices, documents, sales books, and other data are being seized and analyzed, as part of a parallel property investigation.

"It takes a little more time as an issue and it is the first time that prosecutors have the opportunity to go into the system, to see how the government has collaborated with segments of crime and business, how it has fed them with money and tenders, distorting competition, and we need to see what politicians have received in return," Lala said.

The journalist also claimed that the conversations revealed in the Evis Berberi case, part of a 16,000-page dossier submitted to the Parliament, offer only a partial picture.

"We have accessed some of the conversations, but SPAK has a series of conversations that may be more serious and include names that the opposition may know," Lala said.

She mentioned that additional information is expected to emerge from the cell phones that have been dismantled since March 19, which could shed more light on the network of connections between business, politics, and suspected criminal segments.
