"I will not kill Fatmir Xhafaj", Salianji on Berisha's statement: Slander! DP linked to SP

Former MP Ervin Salianji commented this Monday on his criticisms of the Democratic Party leadership.
Invited to the "Opinion" show on TV Klan, Salianj was asked by moderator Blendi Fevziu to comment on a strong statement by Berisha.
The latter said that Salianji, during a meeting at his apartment, had told him that in order to get out of prison, he had to sign a statement that he would not kill Fatmir Xhafaj.
In his response, Salianji stated that this is just a slander. He added that he did not choose to hit Berisha or any other figure of the Democratic Party below the belt, adding that if he continues with private conversations, he could bring a lot of "dirty" things to the public.
"I was at Berisha's house when I was on leave. Discretion is part of manhood. When he spreads what is discussed at home, it is not normal, what is discussed in an apartment stays at home. These are invented conversations. It is an invented statement. It is the same as if I said today that I will kill the Ayatollah. If they want to have table conversations, I can open some other conversations. This statement by Berisha was a disgrace. I am looking for a competition. Competitions unite the party. Neither pressure nor threats work with me. It has been since 2022 that Berisha said that they would not steal my elections and they did. The DP is linked to elements of the Socialist Party. These are together. The DP's article says that if the Democratic Party does not win the elections, the chairman leaves. But I am not telling him that either, but I am telling him to let me be a candidate for chairman of the Democratic Party, because this is absurd, that I could not run," said Salianji.
Further, Salianji stated that the Democratic Party is not private property. He said that he has every right in the world to run for president of the DP.
"I will definitely be in the race for the chairman of the Democratic Party. It is a division of opinions with Sali Berisha, because I have not personally dealt with anyone. The DP, as it is, cannot win. They accuse me of being captured, but I am a person who has freedom, and in prison I have been freer than those who are outside who live like slaves. Time will tell who is right. I am not captured by anyone, neither by the SP nor by anyone. I want the DP not to be private property, but for there to be competition in the party. How can I self-exclude myself? What is this self-exclusion? Berisha has said that he will solve the problems I have with the US and he has not solved anything," said Salianji.
