Opposition protest, Lisandër Hoxha: DP should sit in front of the Prime

Member of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Lisandër Hoxha, commented on the intensity of the opposition protests during an interview on the show "Off the Record", moderated by Andrea Danglli on A2CNN.

Hoxha said that the protests should be more intense and, according to him, the opposition should be in front of the Prime Minister's Office every night.

" It should have been more intense, we should have been there every night, however, Lisandri does not make the decisions, it is a broader team that judges. If Lisandri were to make the decisions, every night from May 12 onwards, or from the publication of the OSCE-ODIHR report onwards, I would be at the Prime Minister's Office every night, with all the DP structures, inviting the citizens as well ," he said.

Hoxha also emphasized that the political and social climate in the country influences citizens' participation in protests, citing fear of consequences.

" Don't forget that we are in a system where if you protest, you are photographed, they fire you! They fine you in business! So the regime scares people as a whole and taking into account that almost half of the population has left the country... ", said Hoxha.

He also criticized the role of political analysts, emphasizing that the debate often focuses on the form and not the essence of the problems.

" 34 years ago, there were no political analysts who, from morning to night, deal with form, but do not deal with the essence. Let's criticize the DP, which has 1 million mistakes, but the problem of Albanians is not the DP, but who is governing them ," he concluded.
