CEC orders counting of two boxes with uncounted votes in Durrës and Elbasan

The Central Election Commission announced that it has made a decision regarding the electoral process, ordering the initial counting of two ballot boxes that had so far remained uncounted.
It concerns one box in the Durrës district and one box in the Elbasan district.
"The Central Election Commission (CEC) orders the initial counting of uncounted votes for polling stations no. 1352/01, CEAZ no. 21, Durrës district and no. 2777/00, CEAZ no. 54, Elbasan district . The counting process will be carried out on 20.05.2025, at 12:00, at the CEC premises.
The results of these polling stations will be included in the Summary Table of Results of the respective Electoral Area.”
The two boxes were received as regular by the CEC and were later considered irregular by the CEAZ. According to CEC regulations, if the boxes are received as regular by the CEAZ, they must be counted.
The count will take place at the premises of the Central Election Commission in Tirana, on Monday, May 20, 2025, at 12:00.
