Margot Robbie is now the "highest paid young actress" after her huge salary for the much-talked-about comedy was revealed.
The Australian actress, 32, earned $12.5 million to star in Oscar-nominated writer-director Greta Gerwig's film based on the iconic Mattel doll of the same name, Variety reported.
Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken in the movie "Barbie," also earned $12.5 million.
Other top-grossing actors who still rank above Robbie's impressive salary range include screen legends Denzel Washington, who rakes in $20 million, Leonardo DiCaprio, who rakes in $30 million, and Tom Cruise, who ranks as the actor highest paid with $100 million for "Top Gun: Maverick".
As for other female actors, "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown earned $10 million for the new Netflix movie "Enola Holmes 2."
Margot Robbie plays the main character in the upcoming movie "Barbie" that will be released in cinemas in 2023. Margot Robbie will therefore transform into Barbie.
Robbie previously earned $10 million for the movie Birds of Prey.
The "I, Tonya" actress stars alongside Gosling, 41, as Ken, but also stars Simu Liu, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Issa Rae and Kate McKinnon.
