Prime Minister Edi Rama has gathered the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group and members of the government.

He spoke about the relationship between the majority and the citizens, acknowledging that there is a gap between the government and the people. His statements come after a period of about three months of protests, where citizens have demanded his resignation.

Rama emphasized the need for a reform of the citizen-state relationship, which, according to him, should clearly define the way the state addresses problems, how the majority listens to citizens, and how
the given word is kept.

Rama further identified three "wounds" that, according to him, damage the relationship between the state and citizens.

"I am glad that what we have done in this preparatory phase of the political season has aroused interest and controversy and labels that are one of the signs of interest.
Albanians do not need another app, the gap that has opened between us and the reborn Albania cannot be filled with a word like "Besa" above all the real gap that we have talked about enough and which it is time to start working together to fill, between us and the people cannot be filled with just a communication campaign.
A necessary reform of the citizen-state relationship that reconfirms: how the state sees the problem, how the majority listens to the person, how the word given is kept with habit and how the door is opened by merit.
Today we have to face wounds, that of the labyrinthine state where the citizen does not know who should answer to him and the lack of institutional memory.
The third wound is the door that is not seen, where recognition is worth more than merit" , he said.
