The 29th Book Fair "Tirana 2026" is postponed, organizers: It will take place in December, due to the situation with the protests in the capital

The 29th Tirana 2026 Book Fair, scheduled to be held from November 11-15, has been postponed to December. The news was announced by the organizing group, which argues that the tense situation in Tirana does not guarantee the proper participation of visitors and readers.

In a statement to publishers, exhibitors and readers, the organizers said the decision was made after consultations with publishers, educators, teachers and readers. According to them, a particular concern is the participation of young people and children, who constitute one of the main target groups of this cultural activity.

The fair will take place within the month of December, while the new dates will be made public in the coming days.
