CHAMPIONS/ Arsenal dramatic draw in the first act against "Aspirins"

Arsenal managed to get a dramatic 1-1 draw away to Bayer Leverkusen, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, held at the BayArena.

The first half ended goalless, while the home team found the advantage immediately at the start of the second half.

In the 46th minute, midfielder Robert Andrich took advantage of a corner kick executed by Alejandro Grimaldo and with a powerful header sent the ball into the net of goalkeeper David Raya.

However, in the final minutes of the match, the Londoners won a penalty after Noni Madueke was fouled inside the area.

Kai Havertz equalised from the penalty spot in the 88th minute, levelling the score at 1-1. After this result, everything remains open for the return leg, which will take place next week at the Emirates Stadium in London.
