Famous rapper, Gjesti, arrested

Singer Besart Kelmendi, known as Gjesti, was arrested on Wednesday in Pristina on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons.

According to the Police, he was stopped around 3:00 PM on "Mehmet Isahi" Street. After the arrest, Gjesti was questioned by the police.

In coordination with the State Prosecutor, he has been sent to a cell for 48 hours, while investigations into the case continue.

"Today, at around 15:00, on Mehmet Isahi Street in Pristina, the Police arrested a person suspected of possessing weapons without a permit. The suspect was interviewed and, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, was taken into custody for 48 hours," the Kosovo Police Information Office said in a statement.
