Trump demands unconditional surrender, Iranian president: They must pay us

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that reparations must be included in any agreement to end the war with the US and Israel.

Despite US President Donald Trump suggesting that the war was turning out to be easy for the US, Iran's leadership shows no signs of backing down.

"Speaking with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran's commitment to peace in the region.

"The only way to end this war – ignited by the Zionist regime and the US – is through recognition of Iran's legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and strong international guarantees against future aggression."

Previously, Trump seemed to rule out any chance of a peace deal in the conflict, saying there would be no deal with Iran except "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER."

But the US president's claims that the war could end soon - or whenever he wants - appear to come without a plan for how to stop the conflict, or the devastating blockade of shipping by Iran.
