Another accident with serious consequences has been recorded in a chrome gallery in the Bulqiza mine. In a statement to the media, the Bulqiza police say they have referred the case as accidental.
Crime Investigation Specialists at the Bulqiza Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office regarding an accidental event, as citizen Agim Likoka, 49 years old, resident of Burrel, is suspected of having accidentally fallen while working at the "Klosi" mining entity.
As a result, the 49-year-old was injured and is in hospital, out of danger.
The case has been kept secret like many other cases in the chrome galleries of the Bulqiza mine. Even the police statement does not provide any details about the subject where the incident occurred, while there have been repeated incidents like this that have not been made public at all.
Also, a continuing concern remains the concealment of such events, where it is suspected that companies do so to hide penalties from state institutions, and in many cases, the injured are even sent to private hospitals to avoid legal penalties that are imposed in such cases.
In all these years, no entity manager or person responsible for security in the chrome galleries has been brought to justice.
