Barcelona won 1-0 against Rayo Vallecano in the La Liga match. The challenge was decided by a goal from Araujo, scored in the first half. The Catalans increased the pressure in the second half and set themselves in search of a safety goal, but were not concrete in front of goal.
Rayo also had their chances, with Alvaro Garcia "threatening" the home goal, but the goalkeeper saved.
