Portuguese midfielder: "Dembélé deserves the Ballon d'Or now. Donnarumma? The best goalkeeper in the world"

On the eve of the long-awaited Champions League final against Inter, PSG's Portuguese midfielder Vitinha has given an interview to "Gazzetta dello Sport", sharing his belief that the Parisian team is more united, stronger and more mature than ever before.
Speaking about the journey to the Munich final and the stars who have made the difference this season, the Portuguese dwells on the influence of Dembélé and the great leader they have on the bench; Luis Enrique.
Asked if experience could make the difference in the final against a team like Inter, more accustomed to such big duels, Vitinha rejects the idea that experience is everything:
"I don't believe that experience will be a decisive factor. Even though we are a younger team, we have reached the final. And it is not written anywhere that the team with the most experience always wins. Inter is a great team, it will be a difficult match, but we are ready."
Among the stars who have raised the bar at PSG this season, Vitinha has no doubts about who he sees as the most decisive:
"For me, Dembélé already deserves the 'Ballon d'Or'. The season is not over yet and I hope that the Champions League final will help him to impose himself. Honestly, I think the key to this season was creating a real team, with a real leader like Luis Enrique. And among the players, it is clear that Dembélé stands out with his qualities."
He also recalls the difficulties of the beginning of the season and how doubts turned into strength, with a new identity born from the group, not simply from individuals:
"Yes, this year PSG is better than last season. In fact, we had warned that we would do everything to improve ourselves. Now we are more of a team, more of a group. It was not easy, because at the beginning, especially in the Champions League, we had difficulty scoring. We only lacked finishing, but when we got unblocked, we gained confidence and confidence in the game. From there we made the qualitative step."
The final also features a symbolic showdown for Gianluigi Donnarumma, the former Milan goalkeeper who faces the eternal rivals of his former club. For Vitinha, the Italian is a great certainty for the Parisians:
"Gigio has been one of our protagonists this season. He has saved us on several occasions, against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool. When he plays at that level, he is the best goalkeeper in the world. It is a pleasure and a privilege to play with him."
PSG head into the Munich final not only with big names, but with a team spirit built on trust, cooperation and a clear vision. Vitinha seems more convinced than ever that this is the strongest weapon they can have in the final, against a rival like Inter./ noa.al
