"Tennis is dying out"/ Players sue federation leaders, allege unfair practices

The tennis world is embroiled in a fierce debate following a lawsuit filed by the Professional Tennis Players Association and the union co-founded by Novak Djokovic.
The organization has filed a lawsuit in New York District Court alleging "monopolistic control" and "lack of respect for the well-being of athletes."
The 163-page document argues for an unfair system that limits their professional freedom and income. Similar lawsuits have been filed in the United Kingdom and the European Union to challenge the "unrestricted power of tennis' governing bodies".
Image rights are another demand, while it is added that the activities of governing organizations need to be reviewed, accusing them of violating players' privacy.
The ATP has reacted strongly to the lawsuit, calling it “baseless and motivated by division.” In an official statement, it defended the current system and cited improvements made in recent years, such as an increase in earnings for tennis players by $70 million in the last five years, guarantees for their income and financial transparency. /The Guardian
