Tensions before the start of the protest in Pristina. The police have requested identification documents from some of the participants, a request that has caused reactions and debates among officers and citizens.
The protest was called by the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization, in opposition to the verdict of the Special Court against former KLA leaders.
The rally is taking place in the squares of Pristina, while the Kosovo Police has taken special measures to guarantee order and security during the protest.
Police have previously called on participants to show caution, respect the instructions of officials, and avoid any actions that could jeopardize public safety.
Due to the protest, authorities have also announced temporary traffic restrictions on several streets in Pristina.
