Bank of America vice president stabbed to death in New York City

A serious incident has shaken Times Square in New York, where a 32-year-old woman lost her life after being stabbed in an attack that police are describing as random and unprovoked.
The victim has been identified as Erin Piacenti, a vice president at Bank of America. The bank confirmed the employee's death and expressed shock at her loss.
The incident occurred at around 4:24 p.m. Monday near the intersection of West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue, in one of Manhattan's busiest areas. Another person, a 68-year-old man, was stabbed and is in stable condition.
According to the New York Police Department, when officers arrived at the scene, they found Pamela Cisneros, 49, holding two large knives and threatening officers. Officers opened fire on her, and the woman was later pronounced dead.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attack appeared to be random and unprovoked, while authorities said Cisneros had a documented history of mental health issues.
