Important archaeological discovery in Selenica, tap from the early Ottoman period found

A discovery of high cultural heritage value was made in the village of Rroma, in the Municipality of Selenica, where, while work was being done to build a water tank, the ruins of an old tap were discovered.
After being notified by the residents of the area, specialists from the Vlora Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage conducted field verifications and documented the discovered structure. According to them, the tap preserves important construction elements, including a ceramic pipe for water supply, drainage channels and walls built with stones, tiles and lime mortar.
From preliminary analysis of the architectural features and ceramic material found at the site, the monument is thought to date back to the 15th–16th centuries, the early Ottoman period. Specialists have assessed that this discovery constitutes important evidence for the history and development of the Rroma village.
